Starbuck is a small farming town in west-central Minnesota, sitting on Lake Minnewaska in Pope County. Highway 29 connects it to Interstate 94 near Glenwood, providing the main route from the Twin Cities about 130 miles away. The manually operated swing bridge from 1958 still opens for boats traveling between the lake's upper and lower sections.
