Stanton is a small farming town in western Tennessee, about 45 miles northeast of Memphis via Highway 70. Most visitors arrive from Memphis by taking I-40 east to the Highway 70 exit near Brownsville, then continuing northeast. The town of 700 sits in rolling agricultural country with a humid subtropical climate. Stanton's main claim to recognition is its position along the historic Memphis-to-Nashville transportation corridor.
