St. Thomas is a tiny farming town of 300 people in northeastern North Dakota, 12 miles from the Canadian border. Take Highway 32 north from Grafton or connect via State Highway 1 from I-29. Most visitors are heading to the Pembina border crossing. The 120-foot grain elevator from 1929 serves as a landmark visible for miles across the flat Red River Valley.
