St. Rose is a farming town of 600 people in Clinton County, about 50 miles east of St. Louis via I-64 and Route 161. The area is flat prairie farmland with corn and soybean fields. Route 161 is the main north-south road, connecting to Trenton and Breese. The town's bright red water tower stands out for miles across the countryside.
