St. Paul is a tiny Collin County town of about 880 people, located 45 miles northeast of Dallas via I-30 and Highway 5. The community sits along FM 543 in rolling prairie country. Most trips involve driving south to Greenville for services or connecting to Highway 380 for access to the DFW suburbs. The town's post office has operated from the same general store building since 1876.
