St. Libory is a small farming town of 559 people in St. Clair County, about 25 miles east of St. Louis via I-64 and Route 4. The village sits on rolling prairie land devoted to corn and soybean farming. Named after Saint Liborius, patron saint of Paderborn, Germany, it reflects the German heritage of families who settled here in the 1850s.
