St. Joseph is a small city of about 3,800 people located 15 miles northeast of Champaign-Urbana in east-central Illinois. Take I-74 to the St. Joseph exit for the most direct access, or use Route 150 which runs through town. The University of Illinois airport is 12 miles southwest via local roads. The city operates its own municipal electric utility, a rarity in central Illinois.
