St. Joe is a small farming town in northeastern Indiana, about 20 miles southwest of Fort Wayne via US 27 and State Road 8. The area sits amid rolling agricultural fields typical of the glaciated Midwest, with corn and soybean farms stretching between patches of hardwood forest. Longer trips connect through Fort Wayne to I-69 for Indianapolis or Chicago. The town's working grain elevator still serves local farmers as it has for decades.
