St. Francis is a small city of about 8,400 people located 35 miles northwest of Minneapolis along the Rum River. Highway 47 provides the main connection south to I-35W and the Twin Cities metro area. The city features wetlands, prairie remnants, and several EV charging stations. St. Francis operates one of Minnesota's last manually operated swing bridges over the Rum River.
