St. Cloud is a tiny rural community in Crawford County, Missouri, reached via Highway 8 from Sullivan or Steelville. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 44, taking the Highway 8 exit near Sullivan and driving about 15 miles east through rolling Ozarks foothills. The settlement got its name from French settlers who saw morning fog rising from local creek valleys like clouds touching the ground.
