St. Charles is a tiny Hopkins County community of under 300 people in western Kentucky's farm country. Highway 62 provides the main access from Madisonville, about 15 miles northeast, while I-69 and the Western Kentucky Parkway serve longer-distance travelers. The town's post office has been operating since 1882.
