Spur is a small farming town in West Texas, about 70 miles east of Lubbock via US 82 and US 70. This community of under 800 people sits in cotton country, serving local ranchers and farmers. Most visitors arrive from Lubbock or take US 380 west from Dallas. The town was named after the historic Spur Ranch, once part of a massive 500,000-acre cattle operation.
