Springville lies 35 miles northeast of Birmingham in Alabama's Appalachian foothills. Take I-59 northeast to Exit 154, then follow US Highway 11 into the city center. The drive from Birmingham takes about 45 minutes through rolling, wooded hills. Most traffic uses I-59 for longer trips and US 11 for local connections to Gadsden and surrounding communities. The city maintains one of Alabama's few active covered bridges, the 1927 Easley Covered Bridge on Easley Bridge Road.
