Springer is a small high plains town in northeastern New Mexico, sitting at 5,800 feet where US Highway 56 meets the Santa Fe Trail corridor. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 25, just 8 miles west, with longer routes connecting to Santa Fe and Colorado Springs. The original Santa Fe Railway depot still anchors downtown with its distinctive red brick architecture.
