Springdale anchors northwest Arkansas's booming corridor along Interstate 49, about 20 miles from Northwest Arkansas National Airport via Highway 412. The city connects regionally through I-49 north-south and Highway 412 east-west, with Don Tyson Parkway handling much of the local north-south traffic. Rolling Ozark terrain creates gentle hills but nothing challenging for drivers. The massive Tyson Foods headquarters dominates the South Springdale Avenue skyline.
