Spring Ridge is a small rural community in Gilchrist County, about 30 miles southwest of Gainesville via State Road 26. The town of 555 sits among rolling countryside and connects to US Highway 129 for north-south travel. Most visitors arrive from Gainesville using US 441 south to SR 26 west, passing through farmland and pine forests. The area gets its name from the natural springs that emerge from Florida's underlying aquifer system.
