Spring Branch is a tiny Hill Country community of about 240 people along the Guadalupe River, 30 miles northeast of San Antonio. Most visitors arrive via I-35 to New Braunfels, then FM 306 west toward Canyon Lake. The scenic route from Boerne follows Highway 46 through rolling limestone hills. The Guadalupe River creates popular swimming holes that draw locals during hot Texas summers.
