Spray is a tiny high desert town of 89 people in Wheeler County, reached via Highway 19 along the John Day River. Most visitors drive from Prineville (60 miles) through Fossil, or take Highway 26 from Bend. It's a popular stop for fossil hunters and scenic drivers exploring central Oregon's remote backcountry. The town claims Oregon's smallest incorporated post office building.
