Spicer is a lakeside town of about 1,200 people on Green Lake, 90 miles northwest of Minneapolis in west-central Minnesota. Highway 23 runs right through town, connecting to Willmar 8 miles east, while most Twin Cities visitors take Highway 12 west to Litchfield, then Highway 23 northwest. Green Lake stretches nearly 6 miles through town, making it one of Minnesota's longest lakes.
