Spencerport is a small canal town about 15 miles northwest of Rochester, connected by Route 31 west from the city or Exit 47 off I-90 from Buffalo. The historic Erie Canal runs right through downtown, and you can walk across the restored 1860s stone aqueduct that once carried canal boats over Northampton Creek.
