Speers is a small river town of about 1,100 people located 30 miles south of Pittsburgh along the Monongahela River. Access is mainly via State Route 906, which connects north to Interstate 70 and south through the Mon Valley. The area features typical southwestern Pennsylvania terrain with steep hills and river valleys.
