Southmayd is a small North Texas town about 60 miles north of Dallas, accessible via US Highway 377 from Denton or State Highway 121 from the McKinney area. Most visitors are locals commuting to larger cities or folks heading to nearby North Texas Regional Airport at Perrin Field. The old Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad tracks still run right through the middle of town.
