Sour John is a tiny rural community of 80 people in Muskogee County, about 15 miles southeast of Muskogee city. Take US Highway 69 south from Muskogee, then turn east on county roads to reach this quiet farming area in Oklahoma's rolling hill country. The community still operates its own post office despite its small size.
