Soper is a tiny farming community of 200 people in southeastern Oklahoma's Choctaw County. Reach it via US Highway 271, which runs north from Antlers and south toward Paris, Texas, intersecting with State Highway 2 in town. The area features rolling hills and farmland typical of the Ouachita foothills region. Stan Stamper Municipal Airport serves general aviation just outside town, and the 1920s brick schoolhouse remains the community's most recognizable landmark.
