Somers is a tiny farming community of 149 people in north-central Iowa's Calhoun County. Highway 175 connects it to Fort Dodge (20 miles southeast) and Rockwell City (15 miles south), with most traffic being short local trips between rural communities. Despite its small size, Somers maintains its own post office.
