Solway is a tiny Minnesota community of 117 people in Beltrami County's lake country. Most visitors drive north from Bemidji on Highway 197, about 15 miles through forested terrain. Long-distance travelers typically use US Highway 2 through Bemidji, then connect to Highway 197. The town's post office, operating since 1901, remains one of Minnesota's smallest.
