Solvay is a small village just outside Syracuse, connected by Route 5 and close to I-690. It sits on Onondaga Lake's western shore and developed around a historic soda ash plant. The village offers easy access to Syracuse Hancock International Airport, about 15 miles northeast, and connects quickly to downtown Syracuse via local roads and interstate highways.
