Solen is a tiny Missouri River town of 105 people about an hour south of Bismarck via US Highway 83 and Highway 1804. The drive follows rolling prairie before dropping into the river valley. What makes Solen unique is that it's one of the few incorporated cities entirely within the Standing Rock Indian Reservation boundaries.
