So-Hi is a small desert community of 648 people located 20 miles southeast of Kingman via US Route 93. The town sits at 3,400 feet elevation in classic Mojave Desert terrain dotted with Joshua trees. Most visitors arrive on US 93, the main Las Vegas-Phoenix corridor, or via Interstate 40 through Kingman. The community's unique name supposedly comes from early settlers greeting each other with "So Hi!" across the desert landscape.
