Snyder is an oil and ranching town of 11,200 people in West Texas, about 85 miles southeast of Lubbock via US Highway 84. Most visitors arrive on Highway 84 from either direction or take Highway 208 north from Interstate 20 near Sweetwater. The restored 1916 courthouse with its red brick design anchors the historic town square.
