Snook is a small farming town in Burleson County, about 20 miles northwest of Bryan-College Station via Highway 60. This rural community of 800 sits in rolling agricultural country with a humid subtropical climate. Most visitors arrive from Houston (90 miles) via Highway 6 north or from College Station area. The town's annual Founder's Day festival in October features live music and traditional Texas barbecue.
