Snelling is a small South Carolina town of 219 people in Barnwell County, reached via US Highway 278 from Augusta (30 miles east) or Barnwell (8 miles east). State Route 70 provides north-south access, while Interstate 20 lies 25 miles north for longer trips. The old Snelling School building now serves as the community center.
