The main approach is US-13, with quick connections to State Route 1 for faster north-south travel. The town serves as a convenient stop for travelers heading through the Delmarva Peninsula, with several gas stations and some EV charging along the commercial strip. Historic Belmont Hall, a 1773 Georgian mansion that once hosted George Washington, remains one of Delaware's finest examples of colonial architecture.
