Smithfield is a small Pennsylvania town of about 1,000 people located along historic US Route 40, roughly 60 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Most visitors arrive via Route 40 from Uniontown (15 miles west) or connect from I-70 and Route 119 coming from Pittsburgh. The town sits in the scenic Appalachian foothills and serves as a convenient stop on the old National Road corridor. You can still spot original stone mile markers from the 1800s along the route.
