Slidell sits 30 miles northeast of New Orleans on Lake Pontchartrain's north shore, connected by I-10 and I-12. Most visitors arrive via I-10 from New Orleans (45 minutes) or I-12 from Baton Rouge. The city features the world's largest Ronald Reagan statue in Heritage Park.
