Sinking Spring is a small Highland County village of 319 people in south-central Ohio's rolling hills. Take US Route 50 east from Cincinnati about 60 miles, then State Route 41 north into town. The community sits along the main north-south corridor to Hillsboro, with longer routes connecting via US Route 35 from Columbus or Portsmouth. The village gets its distinctive name from a natural spring that historically seemed to disappear into the ground during dry spells.
