Silverton is a small Oregon city 14 miles northeast of Salem via Highway 214, serving as a gateway to Silver Falls State Park. Most visitors drive from Salem or take I-5 to Woodburn then head east. The town of 10,000 sits in prime Willamette Valley farmland with a temperate climate. Silverton runs Oregon's oldest continuous outdoor mural program, featuring over 40 murals painted on downtown buildings since 1986.
