Silverhill is a small Baldwin County town of 863 people, located 25 miles northeast of Mobile via US Highway 31. Founded by Swedish immigrants in 1897, it sits in Alabama's pine and farmland region with a humid subtropical climate. Highway 31 connects north to Montgomery and south to Mobile, while Route 104 runs east-west to Robertsdale and Gulf Shores. The original Swedish Lutheran church with its white steeple still anchors the town center after more than a century.
