Silver Creek is a small Lawrence County community of 175 people along US Highway 84 in southern Mississippi. The main route through town connects Brookhaven (15 miles west) with Collins to the east, while State Highway 35 provides north-south access. Interstate 55 lies about 20 miles west via Brookhaven, linking to Jackson and Louisiana. The town gets its name from the actual creek running through the area, which early settlers described as having silver-like reflective waters.
