Sikes is a tiny Louisiana town of under 300 people in Winn Parish, surrounded by pine forests. Highway 167 runs north-south through town, connecting to Winnfield 15 miles south and Interstate 49. It's the birthplace of legendary Louisiana politician Huey P. Long, with a historical marker marking his childhood home site.
