Shrewsbury is a small residential city in St. Louis County, just southwest of downtown St. Louis via I-44. Take the Elm Avenue or Laclede Station Road exits off I-44 for direct access. Highway 100 and Watson Road provide connections to neighboring Webster Groves and Kirkwood. The community of 6,300 sits along the Meramec River valley and maintains one of Missouri's oldest volunteer fire departments, still operating from its 1943 firehouse.
