Show Low sits in Arizona's White Mountains at 6,400 feet, where pine forests create a rare four-season climate in the desert state. Highway 60 runs east-west through town, while SR 77 connects north to I-40. From Phoenix, take the Beeline Highway north to Payson, then SR 260 east. The town earned its name from an 1876 card game between two ranchers.
