Shoreview sits between Interstates 35W and 35E in the northern Twin Cities, about 15 miles from both Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Take I-694 to reach the city from either direction, with exits at Lexington Avenue or Rice Street. Highway 96 runs east-west through town, connecting to Highway 65. The community of 27,000 clusters around several small lakes that freeze solid for winter ice fishing. The Shoreview Community Center features one of the few remaining NHL-regulation public skating rinks in the metro.
