Shoreacres is a small bay-front community about 25 miles southeast of Houston, reached via I-45 south to NASA Parkway. Highway 146 connects it to other Clear Lake area towns like Kemah. The subtropical climate brings hot, humid summers and mild winters. This waterfront town of 1,580 residents maintains one of Harris County's last all-volunteer fire departments.
