Shevlin is a tiny farming town in northwestern Minnesota, about 35 miles from Bemidji via Highway 71 north to Highway 92 west. County Road 113 runs right through town, connecting to the regional road network. The classic grain elevator by the railroad tracks has been a local landmark for decades.
