Sheridan is a small Illinois town about 80 miles southwest of Chicago, accessible via I-80 west to Route 47 south. The main drag is Route 71, connecting to Ottawa and Morris for commuter traffic. Surrounded by typical Illinois farmland with corn and soybean fields, the community of 2,500 sits in LaSalle County's rolling prairie. The restored 1907 railroad depot downtown now houses the local historical museum.
