Shenandoah is a small city along I-45, about 30 miles north of Houston in Montgomery County. Most people reach it via the interstate or Highway 242, which connects to The Woodlands and Conroe. David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport sits right next to town and unusually for a general aviation facility, operates its own control tower handling over 100,000 flights yearly.
