Shenandoah is a small coal country town in Pennsylvania's Schuylkill County mountains, about 90 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Take I-81 to Exit 124, then Route 54 west through winding mountain roads. The town of 4,146 sits in a valley surrounded by forested ridges, with Route 54 as the main corridor and limited EV charging nearby. Main Street still features original 1860s brick storefronts from when it supplied the region's anthracite mines.
