Shelley is a farming town of 5,000 people located 15 miles south of Idaho Falls on US Highway 91. Most visitors arrive via I-15 Exit 119, using the town as a convenient stop between Salt Lake City and Yellowstone or as a base for accessing Idaho National Laboratory 30 minutes west. The town sits in prime potato country with the Snake River Plain stretching in all directions, and it's one of the few small Idaho communities where you'll find nuclear engineers living among the farmers.
