Sharon is a small York County town of about 400 people, located 25 miles south of Charlotte via Highway 5. The main route is I-77 to Exit 82, then Highway 161 west to Highway 5 south. Charlotte Douglas Airport is 35 miles away. The town features one of South Carolina's rare covered bridges spanning Kings Creek.
